Carthage to Host its First-Ever President’s Ball on Friday, April 13

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Carthage chapter.

Attention students! Carthage Activities Board (CAB) is bringing their first-ever President’s Ball to campus, and you won’t want to miss it! A night full of friends, dancing, food and music awaits on Friday, April 13 in the TARC Fieldhouse, running from 8 pm to midnight.

So, what does Carthage’s first-ever President’s Ball entail?

The event kicks off with a social hour and light refreshments from 8 pm to 9 pm, where students can network with faculty and staff. After, you can make your way to the dance floor and enjoy music provided by DJ Jonathan Ackerman, an avid performer at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN.

How much does it cost?

This event is FREE to all current full-time undergraduate students at Carthage! Faculty and staff tickets cost only $5, and non-Carthage student guests may purchase a ticket for $15.

How do I get tickets?

There are plenty of opportunities to snag a ticket! CAB will be tabling this week, April 3 to April 6, from 11:30 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 6 pm by the Caf stairs. If that doesn’t work, they’ll also be tabling April 9 to April 13 from 11:30 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 6 pm in the Student Union.

If you absolutely cannot get a ticket during these times or at these locations, or decide super last-minute that you want to put your dancing shoes on, tickets will also be handed out in the Division of Student Affairs office, or you can get your ticket at the door. Basically, you don’t really have an excuse not to go!

What do I wear?

Dress is semi-formal. Take it as you will!

If you have any questions about bringing a non-Carthage student guest, you may contact CAB at cab@carthage.edu. You can also learn more by exploring the frequently asked questions centered around the event. (Spoiler alert: there will be a chocolate fountain. This is not a drill.)

Dance the night away at a first-of-its-kind event!
