The Best Dressed Celebs of 2022’s Screen Actor Guild Awards

This year’s Screen Actor Guild Awards has to be one of the best in a long time. The dresses all the women were wearing were stunning and they all looked absolutely beautiful — but there were a few that really stood out.

Here are my top picks for best dressed at the SAG awards:

1. Kerry Washington

This dress… I mean, need I say more? Showstopper!

This yellow sleeveless gown by Celia Krithariot was absolutely stunning. It was my favourite dress by far the whole night. The yellow colour of the dress really stood out compared to many of the darker tones I found were prominent during the night.

She went all out for this award show and I’m loving it. Pulling off yellow is a feat in and of itself and she absolutely killed it effortlessly. I also love how she didn’t over-accessorize, because if she had, I find she would have made it too over the top for the SAG Awards.

2. sANDRA oH

So this dress is literally one of my favourite looks of the whole night.

Although some would disagree with me (there have been some news outlets like the Daily Mail that have put this dress in the “worst dressed” category), I completely disagree with them.

The silver bow strapped tiered gown was made by Caroline Herrera and was one of the standouts from the night. Not everyone can pull off silver but Oh really did. She looked confident and beautiful in the dress, and I don’t know anyone else who could have pulled it off better than she did.

3. Cynthia Erivo

This Louis Vuitton red strapless vinyl dress looked absolutely amazing on her. It’s edgy but bright, making it unique and different from what others were wearing. She literally took rock style to a whole other level and she looked amazing doing it.

The red cape that went over it was not exactly my favourite. I feel like it hid the dress, which in and of itself was stunning, so I honestly don’t think it was needed.

4. lADY gAGA

Gaga wore an Armani dress that combined both glamour and sophistication in one look. The dress looked like a spin on an effortless traditional dress and I absolutely love it. The sparkles just raised the whole dress to a whole other level.

Although this is a very toned-down look from what I am used to seeing on her, I think she really nailed it. The dress looks absolutely stunning.

5. jESSICA cHASTAINE

The pantsuit… So many pantsuits this year and I love them!

Just like Gaga’s fit, the Dior suit combined classy with glamour. You had the very elegant pantsuit and then the added glamour of the sparkles. It was something so unique yet simple, and she looked absolutely amazing. I don’t think much else needs to be said on this look because she really pulled it off and it speaks for itself.

6. Saniyya Sidney

This royal blue Zuhair Murad dress reminded me of Cinderella when I first saw it and that’s probably why I loved it so much. She looked absolutely amazing in it.

I also find that she looked her age in the dress, which isn’t something you see very often in recent years. Yes, the dress was very prom style, but she is also 15 years old. She looked elegant and confident, which is what matters.

I love how they didn’t overdo her makeup or accessorize this dress either because I find she would have looked a lot older than she is.

7. eMILIA jONES

This edgy look made by Givenchy was one of the best because it was still classy and glamorous but not over the top. Everyone can pull off a black dress, but not everyone can pull off the edginess she brought with this one. It gave me very much Selena Gomez MTV VMA’S 2013 award look vibes. In both cases, they looked absolutely stunning.

I love how it was very much about the dress and they didn’t overdo her makeup or jewelry, which is also what makes it stand out and allow Jones to look her age.

8. Jennifer Landon

Another pantsuit… sorry, not sorry.

I honestly loved this floral pantsuit; it was different than everything else I had seen. Although it was not as glamorous as some of the others, she nailed its classiness and still hit the mark. I think the floral print was a perfect choice because it was so different than what anyone else was wearing and really stood out.

Although everyone looked amazing, there were definitely some standouts. I’m loving the simplicity and the glamour that was brought and it was quite refreshing after the last SAG award was live-streamed.
