Why did you pick Carleton U?
Because it was in the next biggest city next to Toronto! But actually, Carleton is known for its strong Engineering program, and Ottawa is quite nice.

Where can I find you on Campus?
When I’m not in class (which is infrequent for engineers), you could probably find me studying in Loeb or Minto. I go to the Carleton gym in the mornings, and I play soccer twice a week in the Fieldhouse.

Where in the world have you travelled/want to travel?
I’ve travelled to the US, specifically Florida four times (of course I stopped at Disneyworld), I’ve been to Mexico three times, Cube twice, and the east coast of Canada, where most of my family lives. I’ve taken a trip to Europe with my family when I was 16. We went to Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Austria for my brother’s hockey tournament.

I want to experience the world – I want to achieve what my mom came up with as a life goal: Visit 60 countries before you’re 60.

What do you find attractive in a person?
She has to be smart, have a sense of humour, thoughtful, selfless, and has to be adventurous!

Describe your perfect date.
Whatever we do, the perfect date would be if you know the person better at the end of the date than you did at the beginning.

What is your pet peeve about people?
Condescending and narrow-minded people, and false promises.

What is your favourite thing to do during down-time?
I like to get out of the house and explore the city – whether it’s discovering a new restaurant or a chill spot downtown, it’s always nice to find new things to do. Other than that, I’m a big soccer player, so I like spending time on the field with friends.

What are the top 5 songs on your playlist?
I don’t have a set playlist; it really just depends on my mood. For example if I’m studying, it’s chill HipHop. Otherwise, I’m into EDM and house music. I’m more of an 8tracks kind of guy.

What was the most romantic thing you’ve done for someone?
The Minto building has a staircase that leads up to a rooftop look-out that not many people know about, so one night I took a girl up there where a blanket and two wine glasses were waiting, so we could have a nice date under the stars.

What is a deal breaker/most important thing in relationships?
A deal breaker would be a girl with a lot of baggage, or who has a crazy ex-boyfriend, or doesn’t have accepting parents. The most important thing for maintaining a relationship is having open and honest communication which is the foundation for trust.
