Heyy everyone! My name is Tishk, and I’m so excited to be the 26–27 Financial Director for Her Campus at Carleton! I was really excited about the opportunity to get involved with Her Campus because I love being part of spaces that highlight women’s achievements and encourage us to grow, learn and become better versions of ourselves.
What interested me most about the Financial Director position was being able to combine my background in banking and administrative work with something I’m genuinely interested in. I’m hoping to pursue a career in financial law in the future, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to gain experience, build my skills and add something meaningful to my portfolio.
I’m also really looking forward to working with the rest of the executive team and members and getting to know everyone throughout the year!
This semester, one of my biggest goals is to step outside of my comfort zone and really challenge myself. I want to make the most of this experience, learn as much as I can and hopefully contribute something meaningful to Her Campus. Most importantly, I want to remind myself that the sky is the limit, and that there’s always room to grow!
Outside of school and work, I love reading self-help books. One book I’m currently reading is “The Mountain Is You,” which has been a really interesting read so far. I also love going on morning walks and hitting the gym whenever my schedule allows me to. I’m definitely someone who enjoys having a balance between being productive and taking some time for myself.
I’m so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!
