This week, I’ve been scouring Cardiff’s streets for style that stands out. I’ve been seeing a lot of tea dresses, parkas, oversized coats and leather boots; It’s that time of year again where we need to ditch the summer clothes, wrap up warm and layer up – but this only means we have more to be creative with! Alongside Manchester and London, Cardiff is known for being a diverse hub of street style, so here are some of my picks:

Pippa, a student at Cardiff University, shows a range of high street mixed with vintage fashion. Her boots and scarf are from Topshop, while her bold two-tone bag is from Accessorize. What stands out the most from this outfit is her vintage suede jacket, complemented by her chunky knit cardigan from her mother’s wardrobe. Why buy a chunky knit cardigan with a ‘vintage’ look when you can have true vintage? Maybe try rooting around in your parents’ wardrobes! After all, fashion always recycles itself.

Jay is currently an Accounting student at Cardiff Uni. Her quirky ensemble consists of vintage boots, a textured jacket by Isabel Marant for H&M and a bright pink Prada bag, which injects her monochrome outfit with a splash of vivid colour.

Scrunchies are well and truly back! Here, Danielle has done her hair with this season’s key hair accessory. Her jewellery is on trend with gold triangular studs from Primark and a chain necklace from Topshop. Tartan is also another hot trend back for this season – you’re sure to be seeing a lot of tartan scarves around. Danielle’s gorgeous dress is from the online shop Love Sasha and she paired this with a fur gilet from Topshop to show off her individual sense of style. To finish the outfit, she teamed it with a River Island bag and leather boots.

Wrap up this winter with an oversized coat and a floral tea dress. There’s no denying that sports luxe is back in fashion, and has been so for the past year. Here, Dohyunhur is wearing a black pair of Nike Roshe Runs with contrasting laces.

I spotted Kerry while she was on her way to a vintage fair in Cardiff, who describes her wardrobe as a mix of high street and vintage. Here, she is wearing a quirky bowler hat and denim jacket with a borg collar from Topshop. Underneath the winter layers, she is wearing a cute patterned dress from Zara. Like Dohyunhur’s outfit, the tea dress adds a feminine touch to Kerry’s tough denim look. She has paired this outfit with flat leather shoes for a classic look, complete with a Mulberry bag.
