HCCU: Are you available or in a relationship?
VE: In a relationship. I am head-over-heels for my boyfriend, whom I have been dating since freshman year.
HCCU: What qualities do you most admire in the opposite sex?
VE: Patience. So often, guys seem to speed through activities, class and life in general. I also love a guy who is good with kids.
HCCU:What are your plans after graduation?
VE: I plan to take a year off and maybe work in a hospice and a lab while I wait for Campbell to open their medical school in 2013!
HCCU: Who is your hero?
VE: Harry Potter. Who cares if he’s fictional? He rocks!
HCCU: Where could someone find you hanging out on campus?
VE: The science building. I live in there. Every time I finish a project or independent research, somehow more comes out of the wood work.
HCCU: What is your favorite aspect of Campbell University?
VE: The closeness that you can have with people. As a small university, you have a unique opportunity to get to know almost everyone at least once, from your classmates, to the professor to the cafeteria ladies. Campbell is one big happy family.
HCCU: How involved are you in extracurricular activities?
VE: You could say I am very involved at Cambell. I am a representative for the Student Government Association as well as the chair of the Academic Committee. I am the secretary of the Walker Biology Club and a member of the Pre-med allied Health Honors Society.
