If you have found yourself staring at your closet full of clothes saying “I have nothing to wear tonight” countless times, then here is the solution: the little black dress. The power that this garment has is so grand, and should never be underestimated.

Scrolling through social media recently, it’s easy to see that so much happens during the first weeks of the quarter. This is mainly because students have less homework, more free time, and of course…a higher income than they would by the end of the quarter. With this in mind, CSULA students prepare themselves for the Greek meetings, Rush Week, and let’s not forget, the parties. If you aren’t the type of girl to attend Greek events, you’ll find yourself going out everywhere: the club, dinner with your friends, or a first date with the boy next door.

Ladies, a single little black dress, can do the trick for ALL of those events. No, you will not look like you repeated the same dress over and over. With a little accessorizing, you can make your LBD look different and stunning every single time.

If you have a statement necklace at home, use it! Because the dress is black, any pop of color can go a long way.  When it comes to footwear there are many ways to go! Honestly, you can really wear any style, and any color. I suggest keeping it all black if you want to look put together, nude if you want to look taller, magenta if you want to give your outfit a fun and flirty feel, or blue to make it a little bit more extra-ordinary.

What you can also do is layer the LBD up! Whether it’s through stockings, scarfs, jackets, or even coats. Looking for a more casual look? Top it off with a moto jacket and some boots, maybe even a scarf. You want to make it sexy for a first date? Wear your favorite pumps, a golden necklace, and your hair full of volume.

The options are endless, and the point is to have fun with it. The LBD is a really good tool for creativity that it will never let you down.
