Anna Wintour swore never to be seen wearing black form head to toe, but her BFF Vera Wang plays by none of her rules. Vera Wang alongside Audrey Hepburn, Meryl Streep, Rosie Huntington Whitely, and Kim Kardashian, are queens of pulling off this style whether it’s edgy, sophisticated, or simply casual. Although effortlessly chic, some people may take it as depressing and idle, but the best part of it all is the feeling of power that it comes with alongside the extraordinary boost of bravery.

There are many ways you can wear head to toe black. The best way to wear head to toe black is with a day to night look. The key to a day to night look consists of simplifying down the outfit for the daytime, and adding eccentric accessories for the nighttime. For example, you can wear a dress shirt with some leather pants, thick heel boot and a moto jacket for the daytime. Transform it into night by adding a sparkly belt, unbutton a button or two from the dress shirt, and add some really thick eyeliner with a nice and bold red lip.

If you are thinking of wearing all black, a good option to go for is definitely fringe. Fringe is an embellishment that is basically threaded tassels placed in a variety of garments like jackets, blouses, purses, skirts and shoes. Be careful with fringe though; too much and you’ll look tacky. With the right amount you will look badass and edgy. And let’s not forget that the movement it brings to your outfit –it’s amazing.

If you simply just want to try out any kind of head to toe black whether sophisticated, professional, casual, trendy, or edgy, here are a few looks to find inspiration from.
