What made you decide to attend Cal State L.A.?Originally I wanted to sing or act so I wanted to move from Miami to Los Angeles to be around the entertainment business. I chose Cal State L.A. because it was in the area I wanted to be in and it was in my price range. I’m really happy with my decision. I’ve loved my four years here.
What does your daily routine look like?My daily routine usually has either work or school or both. I’m always on the go. I usually never eat breakfast and sometimes I’ll be wearing the most random outfit because I was too lazy to be stylish that day.
Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years I want to be reporting or anchoring and if not, then working my way up in my career. For everything else in my life at that time, I just want to make sure I’m happy.
What qualities do you look for in a significant other?I definitely look for a guy who can join me in my craziness and has a lot of ambition. I’m always trying to push myself to work hard and I want to see that in whoever I’m with as well.
What is your favorite place in the city? My favorite place in Los Angeles is the beach, Santa Monica Pier specifically. I just always find myself at peace when I’m there, no matter what is going on in my life.
What hobbies do you have outside of your major? I like hiking and in general, doing different activities all the time. Shooting pool, roller blading, ice skating, I’m all over the place! I also love going dancing!
Favorite artist and why? I like to listen to a lot of different genres of music, but my favorite artist has to be Demi Lovato. Not only is she amazingly talented but she has gone through a lot and seems to continue to grow as an artist and I assume as an individual as well.
Any pets? I wish! I don’t have any pets here, but I have a bird that I named Cristy back in Miami. My dad has pretty much adopted her though.
What’s something interesting about you? I was raised a Vegeterian so I’ve never eaten red meat. Occassionally I’ll eat salmon or tuna, but normally I stick to my soy protein.
Social media? I use Instagram the most, it’s @zahlermctaller and I’ve been trying to snapchat more often. My username is zahlerr. I’m really never on Facebook anymore.
