5 Ways to Celebrate Earth Day in Los Angeles

 

 

1. Angel City Brewery Earth Day Community Clean Up – April 22 

216 Alameda St. 

Los Angeles, CA 90012 

Admission: Free 

Come join Angel City Brewery staff and friends in doing a community trash pick-up event. Shirts and clean up equipment will be at the site. Participants will meet at 5:30 at Angel City Brewery. After your hard work, enjoy some of the brewery’s delicious beer. 

 

 

2. #EarthDay134 – May 2 

200 Maryland Place

Glendale, CA 91206 

Admission: Free 

The city of Glendale will be hosting a free event open to the public. Activities will include: environmental workshops, food trucks, activities for kids and more. Limited free food vouchers will be given out until they run out. 

 

 

3. Do Good Bus | April Community Ride – April 25

Universal City Metro Parking Lot

Universal City, CA 91608

Admission: Tickets starting at $37.74 

Enjoy a all day getaway on the Do Good Bus — destination is a secret. Lunch will be provided by Whole Foods. Depart at 9:00 AM, return at 3:00 PM 

 

 

4. Yoga for the Planet – April 21 

Whole Foods Market

West Hollywood, CA 90046

Admission: Free (space limited) 

Celebrate mother nature through a peaceful sunset flow practice. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Class will be held downstairs in the Life Style store. Class will be held at 5:00 PM-7:00 PM

 

5. Nothin’ But Sand Beach Clean Up – May 16 

Will Rogers State Beach 

15800 Pacific Coast Highway (at the end of Temescal Canyon Rd.) 

Pacific Palisades, CA 90272

Admission: Free

Volunteer your day at the beach. Bring a friend or two along and help out. Signups are being taken on the Eventbrite page. Cleaning equipment will be provided. Cleanup will start at 10:00 AM. Bring cash for beach parking.
