Shabang is a live music and arts festival located in Laguna Lake Park in San Luis Obispo that spans two days. The festival starts on Friday, May 13th at 3pm and goes until 10pm and  starts at 12pm and ends at 10pm on Saturday, May 14th.

Tickets for Friday’s general admission are $50 with a $2.60 fee, while Saturday’s general admission is $80 with a $4.16 fee. Alternatively, there is a two-day pass for general admission starting at $120 with a $6.24 fee. Other add-ons for the event include a $50 VIP pass for Friday and Saturday and a $12 shuttle pass. The VIP tickets include an “Elevated Viewing Deck in the Center of the Festival, Access to the VIP deck on top of the Funk Safari Art Car. No Lines – Private Entrance, Bar, and Restrooms.” The shuttle pass is a guaranteed pick-up and drop-off ride at Campus Bottle and the PAC. The line-up for the event includes 19 artists on Friday and 30 artists on Saturday. Among the artists on Friday are TV Girl, The Knocks, Hot Flash Heat Wave, and Levitation Room. Among the artists on Saturday are STRFKR, Walker & Royce, VNSSA, Honeyboys, Couch Dog, and more. The setlists and artists are divided into four stages: Main Stage, Funk Safari Stage, Cuesta Ridge Stage, and Silent Disco. Shabang started as a 20-person live music performance on a mountain at sunset. What was first known as “The Last Shabang” has become a huge festival for college-goers and music-lovers alike. The goal of Shabang is to create a vibrant, immersive, and unifying experience for all attendees. 

Along with the musical aspect of Shabang, there are a multitude of other activities and events including live painting, burning man art carts, statue building, trippy exhibits, dance sessions, yoga, rock climbing, and rich Central Valley food and culture.
