Spring Break Anthems

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Poly chapter.

Finals are coming to an end, and the only light at the end of the tunnel is a week free from papers, exams and presentations. Spring Break is almost here; we can practically taste it! And whether your plans involve sunbathing in Mexico, adventuring around SLO or relaxing back home, we think a killer playlist is an absolute essential.

We’ve cultivated a playlist full of songs to blast with your friends while soaking up the sun. Some are backed by exciting guitar-riffs, like “Morocco” by Moon Taxi, while others hit hard with fast beats and strong synth, like “Old Habits Die Hard” by Allie X. And, of course, what’s a spring break playlist without “Ignition (Remix)” by R. Kelly?

Here’s a track listing for you:

“Old Habits Die Hard” by Allie X

“Kamikaze” by MØ

“New Bohemia” by Transviolet

“Codes” by Ellie Goulding

“YOUTH” by Troye Sivan

“Past Lives” by BØRNS

“Next Year (RAC Remix)” by Two Door Cinema Club

“Genghis Khan” by Miike Snow

“King City” by Swim Deep

“Surrender” by Ball Park Music

“Morocco” by Moon Taxi

“Bungalow” by Scott Helman

“Dancing on Glass” by St. Lucia

“Reflections” by MisterWives

“Black Magic” by Little Mix

“Greek Tragedy” by The Wombats

“Portugal” by WALKTHEMOON

“Shine” by Years & Years

“All Night Longer REMIX” Sammy Adams feat. B.o.B.

“Ignition (Remix)” by R. Kelly

So press play, crank up the speakers and feel the stress of Winter Quarter melt away. Click here for the full playlist on Spotify.
