Kyle Kintner, Soccer-Playing Accountant

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Poly chapter.

Name: Kyle Kintner

Major: Business Administration, planning to concentrate in Accounting

Hometown: San Diego, CA

Class level: Junior

HC: What are you involved with on campus?

Cal Poly Accounting Club, Intramural Soccer and Orfalea College of Business Executive Partners Program.

HC: What’s your favorite thing to do in SLO?

Eat the amazing food that SLO has to offer!

HC: What is it like being a transfer student?

It was a pretty tough adjustment to the quarter system.  The classes here are also significantly more difficult than my old Community College.  I’m really enjoying that I only have my major classes to take, as they are all pretty exciting and interesting to me.  In addition, I’ve met some pretty incredible people in my brief time at SLO and am looking forward to making new friends!

HC: Why did you choose Cal Poly?

Cal Poly is an extremely affordable school and gives you a great education. It’s also in a really nice location and not too far from home for me.

HC: Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years I see myself living in San Diego working at KPMG.

HC: If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

Wolf.  I love being with close friends and my family. I’m extremely loyal and enjoy being with others.

HC: If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?

Buy a sailboat and travel the world with my best friends!

HC: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Barcelona. Soccer is great, it’s a beautiful city and the weather is awesome too.

Alisha McGoldrick is a senior at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. In her spare time, she loves making inspiration boards, reading, and shopping at farmer's markets.
