Introducing: #HC Girl to Woman

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Poly chapter.

Dear Cal Poly collegiettes:

Our names are Aja Frost and Hannah Joslin, and we’re the two Campus Correspondents (read: Editors-in-Chief) for Cal Poly’s Her Campus chapter. Our new campaign—actually, our theme for the year in general—is something that we’re really excited about. Introducing: #HC Girl to Woman.

Our chapter is now a year old, and we’re ready to grow up. Just like coming to college changed all of us—made us more mature, more capable, more wise, and more daring—our magazine is changing too.

We care about guys, Pinterest-worthy crafts, Kim and Kanye, and Pumpkin Spice Lattes. (Seriously, we’ll fight you to the death for our right to a PSL.) However, we also care about civil rights. We also care about gender equality. We care about who becomes president and what he (or she) does with our country. We care about studying abroad. We care about getting a job after graduation. We care about diversity. We care about the news—not just reading about it, but making it.

So we’re going to keep writing about our love probs and cool DIYs and Blue Ivy and our Starbucks obsession. But that’s just the beginning. We’re going to write about everything we—and that includes you—care about.

We know you’ve grown up. We’re ready to grow up too. #HC Girl to Woman.

HCXO,

Aja & Hannah
