Fun fact about yourself: My last name is French-Canadian. My middle name is Lancashire, and I’m not totally sure where it came from, but I think it came from my dad’s mom somehow. Also got baptized last spring at Mountainbrook here in San Luis Obispo. I’ll walk around the apartment talking like Forrest Gump … getting ready for the acting career.
Her Campus: What do people say is your best quality?
Hunter Reaume: He never gives up, friendship means a lot to him, he’s an instigator — he gets things going, he’s like the kindling to a fire (thanks Samer!). I have a lot of pride with anything I’m involved in.
HC: What are you involved with on and off campus?
HR: Rodeo Team for Cal Poly, first and foremost. We’ve done a lot of work rebuilding the rodeo grounds, gaining sponsors and involving the student body more; basically, a total revamping of the program. It’s been a blast. Also, I recently switched from industrial engineering to a construction management major and equine science minor, so that’s kind of a random combination. Soon to be bus boy at McClintocks.
HC: Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
HR: I’ll be 29, almost 30. That’s crazy to think. I’m probably going to get married and have like 20 kids or something … Nah, there’s no way I’m having more than two kids. I want to be building custom homes, roping and live in a small, close-knit community.
HC: Who has had the greatest influence on your life?
HR: My parents have been my biggest supporters. They’ve gone above and beyond for me. It has rubbed off on me, so I try to go above and beyond for other people, too.
HC: If we were to give you a million dollars what is the first thing you would spend it on?
HR: I would take care of my parents.
HC: If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
HR: Bora Bora sounds cool. Or anywhere in the Mediterranean.
HC: What is your ideal first date experience?
HR: If it’s my idea, riding horses on the beach and, depending on the situation at sunset, music playing in the background, bottle of wine. Nah, that’s too much for the first date. Riding would be fun, though, doesn’t matter where it is. Or driving around in my truck on back roads or being on the beach and bonfire. Probably something outdoors. I like to do things that are outside the norm.
HC: What is an ultimate deal breaker in a relationship?
HR: If I couldn’t take her home to my parents, that would definitely be a deal breaker.
HC: If your last name was a verb what would it mean?
HR: To give it your all, look back with no regrets, be the same person when there’s nobody around and to always stay humble. Remember there’s something greater than yourself.
