Fall Favorites: Trader Joe’s Edition

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Poly chapter.

There are so many reasons to love fall: the leaves are changing, it’s spooky season and, of course, we get Trader Joe’s Fall food! You can check them out right in San Luis Obispo, or find your nearest store here. We’ve tried a ton of their seasonal specials and here are a few you need to check out.

Pumpkin Spice Pretzel Slims

For a quick snack that’s both sweet and salty, you have to try the Pumpkin Spice Pretzel Slims! The thin pretzels are coated with pumpkin spice-infused yogurt and sprinkled with spiced pumpkin seeds.

Gluten Free Pumpkin Pancake

The Gluten Free Pumpkin Pancake mix is perfect for a healthy and delicious breakfast. Just add eggs, butter and water to the mix for light and fluffy pancakes (or waffles)!

Spiced Chai Black Tea Concentrate

This flavorful tea concentrate is full of spices like ginger, allspice and cardamom. It can be mixed with dairy to create a chai tea latte, or be added to baking recipes as a flavorful water substitute.

Apple Cider Donuts

In need of an indulgent treat? The Apple Cider Donuts are cakey, cinnamon-y donuts made with real apple cider and are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. The instagram video above even shows you how they’re made!

Pumpkin Spice Batons

The Pumpkin Spice Batons are both crunchy and creamy and make for an excellent sweet snack. The wafer sticks are like their usual chocolate and vanilla flavors, but are instead made with pie spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.

Leafy Greens & Butternut Squash Salad

If you’re looking for a healthier fall food, look into the Leafy Greens & Butternut Squash Salad. It features the flavors of fall with bright butternut squash and makes for a very appetizing lunch or snack.

Pumpkin Empanadas

Pumpkin Empanadas are filled with pumpkin puree, coconut milk, and spices, encased in a flaky pastry. They are unique, warm treats perfect for chilly fall days!

Apple Cider Fruit Spread

Versatile and tasty is Trader Joe’s Apple Cider Fruit Spread! It can be paired with pretty much anything, and we especially love it with breakfast or in baking.

Pumpkin Bread

Last but not least is my personal all-time favorite, the Pumpkin Bread mix! Combined with eggs, oil and water, this mix makes moist and flavorful bread or muffins. It’s a fall staple that is perfect at any time of day.

We hope that this list helps you find some tasty treats to try this fall!
