The Collegiette’s Guide to Surviving Fall Quarter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Poly chapter.

We may be halfway through fall quarter already, but that doesn’t mean the back to school routine has gotten any easier. Tbh, sometimes it still feels like we’re in week one instead of week five. Lucky for us, Her Campus came to our rescue with their fall survival kit! All these goodies relieved the mid-quarter funk––and we couldn’t be more grateful. Her are x tips that helped us survive fall quarter, and will totally help you too!

1. Stay Hydrated

Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean that it’s suddenly cold in San Luis Obispo. We still have our 80 degree days and that means you need a sleek white CamelBak to join you on your hike across campus. What could make this even better? This CamelBak can hold your hot ~or~ cold drinks. Transitioning from a PSL to some ice cold water just got even easier!

2. Stay Spirited

What’s college without a little fun? Flyer Colors Apparel specializes in helping collegiettes like you feel the school spirit from a day in class to a late night sports game. Why not take this adorable koozie with you to the next fall football game and represent like an all-star?

3. Stay Beautiful

What even is the point of life without a rejuvenating face mask? Thanks to Freeman Beauty we’re feeling extra blessed with clear skin and happy pores. From charcoal to avocado, you can’t go wrong with a facemask and some self-pampering.

4. Stay Festive

Fall is in the air, people, don’t take it for granted. At Cal Poly our favorite tradition is a day-trip to the Avila Valley Barn for some cider of pumpkin picking. Of course we couldn’t go anywhere without our survival kit! From Maidenform to DivaCup to Juicy Couture to L’eggs, we were extra prepared for the day ahead.

5. Stick with Your Friends

Friends are going to take you out of that fall quarter slump like no other. And if you’re all wearing Rimmel London eye liner, squad aesthetic get’s taken to the next level!

Thanks Her Campus for our survival kits! We don’t know what we would have done without you.
