Are Rhode Products Worth the Hype?

Hailey Beiber launched her brand called Rhode Skin in June of 2022 and the line has blossomed ever since. Many influencers and celebrities have used it and have reviewed it such as Olivia Jade, Kylie Jenner, Nara Smith, Tate Mcrae and one of my favorites, Paloma (@whor3chata_ on tiktok).  Some people say it’s worth the money and some say it isn’t, but in this article I’m going to give you my honest opinion on Rhode Skin.

First, I’ll be reviewing the products that I own, starting with the pocket blush in the shade “toasted teddy,” this blush shade is one of the most amazing blushes I’ve worn! It is described as a “bronze terracotta” shade and I think it matches its description perfectly.  It suits my skintone very well! The blush itself is highly pigmented and more of a creamy application which makes it easier to blend with your fingers which is really convenient for on-the-go if you’re in a rush. The packaging is what gets me– it’s small which is nice for storage but it is sometimes hard to open. I don’t think the packaging is very inclusive since you have to pop it open and it can be hard for some people to open. Aside from that, the product does last very long; I’ve had it since July 2024 and I still have a lot of product left. Solid 4.5/5 stars.

The blush is actually a part of a duo that comes with a peptide lip treatment. When you’re purchasing the duo they come in the same shade, however instead of having the toasted teddy lip shade, I have the “peach pit” shade. The shade consists of a light pigment of peach but it is noticeable when applied. The peptide is very soothing and doesn’t taste bad so you don’t have to worry if you accidentally lick it (you’d be surprised how often that happens). I also have the salted caramel lip peptide, and you would be surprised how accurate the flavor is. It’s a clear shade if you’re looking for something more simple and to incorporate into your daily skincare routine instead of makeup. I will say that the lip peptides’ formula tends to separate and if you don’t use it for a good minute the formula will become slightly grainy. If this happens, I recommend to put your peptides in hot water and let them sit for a couple minutes, 4/5 Stars!

The last product I own is the glazing milk. I have been dying to try this product and three weeks ago I finally caved. Let me just tell you, it is amazing. It is described as a hydrating boost barrier toner milk and I eat it up every single time. I use it before my moisturizer and if you’re a fan of the dewy glass skin look you NEED this product because it gives the exact same effect. The glazing milk is unscented which is essential in a skincare product! The regular size is 4.7 oz and the travel size is 2.2 oz. It is best that you keep this product refrigerated because it makes the application feel 10x more amazing. The Rhode Skin glazing milk is by far my favorite product and I’m recommending it to everyone, 5/5 stars.

There’s a book filled with Rhode products I want to try such as the barrier restore cream which the TikToker Paloma (@whor3chata_)described as “a good moisturizer with medium thickness but no glow.” Then the Pineapple refresh that’s described as a lathery cleanser that leaves your skin clean, soft and bouncy. Lastly, the peptide glazing fluid which is described as a gel hydration layer that gives dewy and glazed skin, but Paloma said it gave no glow at all.

Overall, I do think Rhode Skin is worth the money, it just depends what you decide to spend it on. I will be repurchasing the pocket blush, glazing milk and lip peptides—they have my heart for sure.
