Looking for a new show to binge watch? Consider watching Terrace House, a Japanese reality TV show on Netflix that has attracted a global audience. The premise of the show should sound familiar to most reality TV enthusiasts — six strangers, three boys and three girls, move into a house together. In addition to these cast members, the show also features a group of hilarious commentators. These people are TV personalities who watch the show alongside with the audience, voicing aloud their candid reactions and thoughts! So what does a typical Terrace House viewing experience feel like? Allow the commentators to show you!

1. This is so…. normal.

Going grocery shopping, cooking dinner, working at their day jobs, AND struggling to talk to the opposite sex? Sounds about right. How relatable!

2. Impatiently waiting for the drama

It’s not like I live for the drama or anything….. But throw us a bone won’t you, reality TV gods?

3. AND THEN DRAMA STRIKES

NOT A DRY EYE IN THE HOUSE.

4. Growing attached to certain characters

What beautiful, perfect, genuine human beings! *tear*

5. But also becoming easily annoyed by other characters

And that’s what you decide to do? Sir, you have failed to impress me.

6. Over analyzing everyone’s behavior to guess potential romances

The calculations done in math class don’t come close to the calculations done while watching Terrace House

7. When the couple you’ve been rooting for FINALLY GETS TOGETHER

I KNEW WE COULD DO IT! Er– I mean, I knew you two could do it!

8. Feeling hopeful about love

I am highly convinced that I need to hop on a plane to a foreign country to live with five other strangers for an indefinite amount of time to find love!

9. Next episode, anyone?

And before we know it, Netflix has already started the next episode…. Well, I guess it can’t be helped. Next episode, here we come!

If you need a new show to binge while waiting for your others to come out with their next season, definitely give Terrace House a try. You won’t regret it!
