The world of beauty and fashion has looked different this past year, but the time at home has given many people the oppurtunity to get creative and discover new techniques and routines. More natrual looks for makeup and hair are becoming very popular, as well as fun new accessories to have fun with. Some have even taken the time at home to design and make their own clothes. With spring just around the corner, we can look forward to trends that will be bright, chic, and effortless.

Fun Nails

Fun and funky nail designs are becoming a new way to accessorize and express your personal style this season. Nail artists have become very creative in the different styles they can do, just like this cute polka-dot look below by Polish Nail Studio. Some of my other favorite fun nail designs are heart-tip french manicures and a chic abstract line look. They’re great for everyday or special occasions.

Colored Eyeliner

Adding colored eyeliner to your makeup routine will give your look an extra pop that is fun and chic. It’s a great way to add a creative touch without feeling like you’re going too crazy for an everyday or casual look. If you want to transition your day look into a night look, glitter eyeliners are fun to try. The key to this trend is to have fun with it and play around with different colors and techniques.

Chunky Rings

This accessory is becoming one of the trendiest statement pieces this season. Brands like La Manso, pictured below, have helped to create this plastic chunky ring trend. They come in a variety of different colors and designs, some with flowers, bedazzle, and other cool styles. These rings are an easy addition to any outfit that will make you love your look even more.

Fluffy Brows

This brow craze involves embracing natural brows with one easy extra step – simply brushing the eyebrow hairs up. You can also add brow gel to make the hairs stay up longer. Some take it one step further and do “soapy brows” which means putting a little soap on the brow brush before brushing them up. Fluffy brows are an easy technique that will make your whole makeup look even cooler and chic.

Claw Clips

Claw clips have become one of my favorite accessory trends this season. They’re a great way to style your hair without actually having to style it. Many people use the clip to pull all their hair back and pull out a few front pieces, or for a half up half down look. The claw clip is perfect for a lazy day at home or a stylish addition to a going out look. I’m so happy that this 90s hairstyle has made a comeback this season and I think this trend will stay around for awhile.

Crochet Fashion

This trend will make your outfits super unique because of how different all crochet designs are. You can wear crochet pieces in a number of different ways including sweaters, bralettes, skirts, bags, and even matching sets. It’s also a great way to support small businesses like Gimme Kaya, pictured below, that have taken off with the crochet trend and sell the cutest pieces.

Skinimalism

“Skinimalism” is a term coined by Pinterest that means skin plus minimalism. Skinamllaism is all about the natural look; it involves dewy skin and overall very minimal makeup. This trend embraces more love towards skin care to get that glowy skin look. It’s a great look to try on a busy day when you don’t have time for a full face, or you just want that “no makeup” makeup look.
