5 Free Apps Every Working Collegiette Needs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Poly chapter.

In this day and age, women are taking the work force by storm. I am constantly hearing of more girls pursuing impressive job opportunities or landing amazing internships. However, whether you’re a barista at a local Starbucks or working a 9-5 job in San Francisco, these apps will help you organize your life and perform any task well.

Passible– There’s Facebook, Email, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. You have SO many accounts on so many sites, which can only mean the infinite amount of usernames and passwords. Drawing a blank on your work email password? No problem! Passible stores username and password information for all your accounts, so it’s super simple to access this information on the days when you’re a little forgetful.

MailDeck– Over the span of my 19 years of life, I’ve probably had about six different email accounts. Whether it’s for school, work or an email designated for spam, it’s hard to keep updated on the constant flow of emails. MailDeck acts as a super inbox—link all of your accounts to the app, and you can manage all of them in one spot.

Evernote– If you’re in need of organizing your life, just download Evernote. It’s like the Notes app from Apple but on steroids. Making a note is super simple, and you can add voice memos, choose fancy fonts or share your note with others. The options are endless!

Keynote– As horrible as public speaking is, it’s always better with the perfect Power Point. As far as apps go, Keynote is the most convenient tool to create an easily crafted presentation. It’s incredibly simple to add pictures, graphs, charts, tables, presenter notes… Whatever you need to make your project a little more fun.

Pages– Need to jot down some notes? What about design a birthday card? Pages is the perfect app for any occasion that needs a pad of paper and pen. There’s text formats for every circumstance. The sky is the limit!

Nothing can stop you with these apps on your mobile device. Now go off and impress your boss, co-workers and classmates!
