Spring Semester Procrastination (As told by Spongebob)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cal Lutheran chapter.

So it’s nearing the end of the year, and you have to make it through the last few weeks of the term, but all you can think of is the warm sun hitting your skin as you relax on the sand without a care in the world. Here are some things we have all been guilty of when the assignments are piling up and the semester is nearly over, but not quite, as told through Spongebob.

You put all your work off, ALL of it…

We all have those assignments that we get at the beginning of the semester and have plenty of time to complete, but something about “not needing to do it quite yet” is always such a promising feeling that you can relax for the time being.

And then before you know it, you have three essays, two projects, a book report, and a speech to present all by 8:30 am the next morning and it’s already 10 pm

You have so much to do, and so very little time to do it, now. So you sit there all stressed out, still not getting anything done.

Then, a wave of inspiration (or double shot espresso) hits you, and you get on a bit of a role…

or so you think…

Turns out, you haven’t made much progress, but hey, you started right?

You start to panic, how are you going to get all this work done? You begin to get both irrational, and yes, pretty emotional.

Soon, it’s really cutting it close, and you muster up any power you have left to blast through the assignments, almost all at once, not caring how well they are done, or if they even make sense, rather.

And then, it’s 5 AM, and you have completed (for the most part), all your work, and you look like you belong in a psych ward more than a college campus.

But then again, so does everyone else from your class, so is it really that crazy?

Then, the worst is over, and you take a well deserved nap, taking in that earned snooze time you missed out on last night.

And, after that, you vow to never procrastinate and feel the horror/panic stress or anxiety EVER AGAIN.

Right… Well we’ll se how that works out!

In the meantime, here’s some positive reminders from your favorite carefree best friend duo to help get you through the last few weeks of school!
