A couple of weekends ago, my friends and I went to Solvang, a Dutch town an hour out of Santa Barbara. It’s a really cute place to eat, shop, and take photos.

Solvang, like any touristy town, sells lots of souvenirs and the like. There were also lots of cute, little boutiques. One boutique had a generous sale section, and that’s where I picked up these two beautiful dresses. I do not remember the name of the boutique, but the dresses are by a brand called “Ixia”

I thought I wouldn’t get a chance to wear these dresses, but the weather graciously decided to be burning hot these past few days. I wore one dress to a Her Campus get together and the other one to church.

Without further ado, here are the looks and breakdown:

Look #1

I based this dress around an all-white gentle idea. I paired the dress with a white and gold brooch, small earrings, and delicate eye shadow and lip color. The lip color is “Cha Cha” by OCC and is a matte lip tar. It was my first day wearing this color and I was very pleased with it. I paired the dress with my favorite flat sandals, which added a bit of color to the look and a very small, delicate necklace for added feminity. Since I was going to a Her Campus event, I pulled back my curls into a pouf with a homemade CLU bow.

Sunglasses: Moschino

Look #2

I loved the fun pineapple print of this dress and based my makeup and accessories on a sort of tropical vibes. I wore my favorite shoes, again, and a fun elephant brooch. I wore small stud earrings and no other jewelry. As much as I like the dress, I will say, the straps do keep slipping off my shoulders; but this tends to happen to me with most dresses. Maybe it’s a “me problem”. I said previously that I wore the dress to church, but I also wore it to Target, so I had to include my excited leaving-Target-with-Ben-and-Jerry’s-photo.
