If you’re anything like me, then each time you go onto TikTok you’re probably tempted to buy another new makeup or skincare product that you saw someone talking about. Keep reading to see which products are worth it in my opinion, which ones you’re better off not buying, and alternatives for them!

For me, the Khiels Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado wasn’t worth the money. The consistency was thicker than I like for eye creams and it made my eyes sting. If you’re looking for an eye cream, instead try the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Eye Cream. It is a thinner consistency and doesn’t sting my eyes and is cheaper!

The Paulas Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is definitely worth the money! This product contains salicylic acid so it helps to clear your skin and unclog your pores. When used in moderation, this exfoliant helped clear my skin and keep it clear.

In another one of my articles, I chose the Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser as my favorite cleanser. I like the fact that it is fragrance-free and cruelty-free but I found that it broke my skin out. Instead, I like the INKEY list Oat Cleansing Balm. This cleanser is also fragrance-free and cruelty-free and is also a fraction of the price of the Drunk Elephant one. So far, I have been enjoying using the Oat Cleansing Balm and it is working with my skin!

One product that went viral on TikTok and was sold out for a long time was the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Liquid Wand. This product has been a game-changer in my makeup routine. Depending on the color you choose, you can use it as a highlighter or a blush. Personally, I use mine as both a highlighter and a blush. It is easy to blend and you only need a little bit of the product, so it lasts. In my opinion, this product is definitely worth it1

I was really excited to try the Glossier After Baume moisture barrier recovery cream. However, this cream was too thick for my skin as I have combination skin and not dry skin. As the cream was too thick for my skin I found that it stayed sitting on my skin all day and because of this, did not layer well under makeup and also caused me to break out. But, if you have dry skin this may work well for you as it does have 4 stars from 263 reviews. Personally, for me I use a lighter moisturizer, my go-to is the Cerave PM Face Moisturizing lotion.

Finally, maybe the product that was most talked about on TikTok – Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. This product makes my skin glow! I like to mix it with the Perfecting Skin Tint from Glossier. Mixing these products gives my skin a glow with light coverage perfect for summer!

Everyone’s skin is different and everyone has different preferences when it comes to what they want their makeup to look like, this is just what works for me!
