Ah, Spring! The first thing that comes to mind is flowers and fresh fruit. This recipe represents both, perfectly!

Baked Apple Chips

Ingredients:

Any kind of Apple

1/2 cup of granulated sugar

1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon

How to Make:

Note: to make apple chips, you must slice the apple into thin slices. A good rule of thumb is to use a mandolin.

Another Note: preheat the oven to 225 F degrees.

1. Slice the apple of your choosing thinly.

2. Place apple slices on a baking sheet. Then sprinkle with sugar-cinnamon mixture.

3. Place apples in the oven for an hour. Then flip the slices and bake for another hour.

4. Enjoy!

Now that I think of it, apples remind me more of Autumn than Spring. Humph…oh well!

My name is Marisa Shlichtman and I am attending Cal Lutheran University where I will be studying theatre and communications. I love anything about theatre and have acted and directed before. I used to play soccer and still love the sport though I don't play anymore. This magazine is the first magazine I have written for but it sounds like an amazing opportunity to get involved within my campus and try something new.
