Her Campus Cal Lutheran: How do you feel about being a campus cutie?
Josh Summers: *Laughs* It’s pretty cool I guess I looked it up and it looks like a pretty cool gig.
HC: Ultimate celebrity crush and why?
JS: Meg Ryan because she’s the perfect woman in Harry met Sally.
HC: Where is your favorite place on campus?
JS: Behind the Grace basketball courts there is a grass patch there and there will sometimes be a random guy playing the ukulele.
HC: What is your favorite TV show?
JC: Ummm… like today its Dare Devil, but all time is Scrubs or The Office. The last three episodes of The Office were very emotionally powerful.
HC: If you could describe thyself in one word what would it be and why?
JS: I don’t know… you describe me… wait don’t type everything I say, I guess I would say creative because I don’t like to do the same thing the same way.
HC: What made you interested in improv?
JS:I saw a show my senior year of high school and I thought it would be fun and a good way to get my energy out.
HC: When did you first start improv?
JS: My second semester my first year, I didn’t join the troupe until my sophomore year.
HC: What is your favorite part about being on the improv team?
JS: Uh, I think hanging out with my friends and being able to create things and the joy I get from others telling me how much they enjoy the show and the reward in that.
HC: What are your pre-show rituals if you have any?
JS: We go over the games we are going to play, we don’t go over the scenes but we have a pretty extreme warm up. We get really silly, yell at each other, and do tongue twisters.
HC: How do you balance being an RA and a member of the improv team?
JS: *Laughs,* um I mean I make sure to not have RA obligations on Thursday nights, they are pretty separate on the spectrum of things to do.
HC: What is your favorite part about being involved in both?
JS: I guess I like making an impact on the Cal Lu community.
HC: Do you get any special treatment on campus?
JS: I don’t think so.
HC: Favorite chick flick?
JS: I already mentioned Harry met Sally, so I guess that’s it. Or Up in the Air
HC: What are your favorite video games and would you like your significant other to play video games with you?
JS: Uh, I would say the Uncharted Series, I would like if she wanted to try it but I wouldn’t make her invest multiple hours of her life to it.
HC: What are your deal breakers in a relationship?
JS: This got way more serious…. Oh god… I hate when you start typing things when I haven’t said anything yet! I guess someone without a sense of humor, someone who takes things way to seriously.
HC: What do you look for in a significant other?
JS: Someone who is passionate about something they want to do, someone with a sense of humor, someone who is enjoyable to be around.
HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
JS: *Smiles*… i haven’t thought about it… I guess living somewhere new, with people I enjoy and a job that gives me some fulfillment in some regard.
HC: What is your ideal first date?
JS: Oh god… *pause*… I should have thought about this ahead of time, something fun, something out of the normal, like going to a weird creepy bookstore, or exploring a weird part of town no one goes to and then food.
HC: Do you have a type and if so what is your type?
JS: I don’t think so. Actually more outgoing I guess.
HC: Favorite band or music?
JS: Uhh I like folk rock music, like Mumford and Sons and Simon and Garfunkel.
HC: Favorite Hobbies?
JS: Video games, ultimate frisbee, hanging out.
HC: Favorite date?
JS: That I’ve gone on? What other way has this question been perceived? *Laughs*… oh god these questions are so strange… okay I need to stop talking… let’s say May 16th 2015 because it is graduation.
HC: Where do you want to travel in the world?
JS: I want to travel in the U.S like Nashville, Atlanta, and a lot of places in the south.
