This cutie is the definition of a geek. He has played so many video games and is apart of many fandoms including Star Wars, Star Trek, Pokeman, and more. He proudly deserves the title ‘King of the Nerds’.

Name: Chris Clyne

Favorite Video Game: Ocarina of Time

Favorite Star Wars Character: Boba Fett

Her Campus Cal Lutheran: How do you feel about being a Campus Cutie?

Chris Clyne: Um. Nervous. Yeah.

HC: If you could be in any of the Star Wars films, which one and why?

CC: Oh that’s tough. Probably Return of the Jedi. It has the best space battle ending. It is the best one in my opinion.

HC: Which is your favorite Pokemon game?

CC: Fire Red for the Gameboy Advance. It was my first Pokemon game. I played it growing up.

HC: Which is better, Star Wars or Star Trek?

CC: Star Wars definitely. I apologize to anyone who is offended but Star Wars is obviously better.

HC: What is your favorite video game series?

CC: Legend of Zelda. It is beautiful.

HC: Who is your favorite Super Smash Bros character to use?

CC: Bowser. He has this attack grab to the side which brings you to the edge of the stage. People don’t see it coming.

HC: How addicted would you say you are to League of Legends on a scale of 1-10?

CC: Right now I would say an 8. It has been higher. Definitely in summer when I have more free time. Let’s say that.

HC: In Ocarina of Time, which stage was your favorite?

CC: Oh geez. I like the fire temple. Red is my favorite color. So it goes together.

HC: In Mario Kart, which character do you use?

CC: Yoshi. He is the funniest looking one! He is always making the funniest sounds.

HC: So, we have heard a story about last fall’s theatre arts project on the piece “Sir Patient Fancy”. You were the lead but you never performed. How come?

CC: Well, there was sickness going around. Two weeks before the show, I got bronchitis and had this gargly voice. Then a week before the show, I got laryngitis and lost my voice completely. I was out of commission for all of November.

HC: We heard you were also in the CLU TV show “Metro General”. What was the best and worst experience from working on that show?

CC: Well, the best part was watching the blackbox being transformed into a tv studio with the live sets and cameras. The worst part was there wasn’t a lot of time for filming and editing, but I was impressed by the fact they edited the whole thing in a week.

HC: Does your interest in video games influence your desire for a computer science major?

CC: Yes. I want to go into game programming and design. I have too many ideas.

HC: Do you think the new Star Wars will be good?

CC: It’s going to be different, but I think it will be good,

HC: Do you like the newest Star Trek movies?

CC: I like them. Some don’t, but it is a cool revival. I’d give it 3 stars.

My name is Marisa Shlichtman and I am attending Cal Lutheran University where I will be studying theatre and communications. I love anything about theatre and have acted and directed before. I used to play soccer and still love the sport though I don't play anymore. This magazine is the first magazine I have written for but it sounds like an amazing opportunity to get involved within my campus and try something new.
