There will be a lot of challenges this month for all of the signs. Mercury, the planet of communication, will go into retrograde beginning March 5, which means that March will be a difficult time for communication in school, the workplace, and in relationships. Now is not the time to sign contracts or engage in important decision-making, especially related to finances. But don’t worry – there’s always a silver lining! Take the time to reflect on how you communicate your thoughts and ideas. Be patient with your loved ones – they’re affected by the retrograde too! If they say something that sounds negative, reevaluate and don’t overreact. Chances are they too are having troubling communicating their true thoughts and feelings.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

The sun enters your sign this month and you might have a birthday! You will have a lot on your plate and with Mercury in retrograde, there is a greater chance of delays and challenges. As long as you stay on top of your work and don’t get behind, you should be able to navigate any frustrations you come across. There will be a supermoon in Libra on March 21, the same day that the sun enters your sign. Libra is the direct opposite of you, which will create tension, while the supermoon will heighten your emotions.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Throughout this month, Mars is in your sign. This is a particularly volatile cosmic alignment as Mars rules overdrive, passions, ego, and action, things that you, Taurus, often like to resist. A lover of tradition and routine, you may find March to be unbalanced for you and create tension in your work and relationships. Uranus enters Taurus on March 6, bringing some disruptive and rebellious energy into your life. This combined with Mars may make your March unpredictable. While you may encounter challenges, take this time to reflect on yourself. Change can be good for you, Taurus, even if you don’t like it!

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Keep an eye on the Mercury retrograde, Gemini, and you’ll have a wonderful March! Mercury is your ruling planet and because of that, you’ll be able to weather the frustrations the retrograde will bring. Watch out for some tension during the supermoon on March 20. It’s the first day of the sun in Aries and the moon is in Libra – two opposite signs. This can create stress which may be heightened by the supermoon. Be wary on March 20 and the days leading up to it, but don’t stress too much about it. This is the time to enjoy your relationships and focus on your work! Enjoy your time before March 31 when Mars enters your sign, Gemini. Mars is volatile and can leave you, an air sign, feeling scattered and unfocused.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

With all of the tense cosmic alignments this month, Cancer, you should be careful in your communications to others. Check and recheck your work and emails. On March 6, use the new moon in Pisces to activate your creative side. Your hard work will pay off and you’ll feel very satisfied with your results. The new moon provides rebirth and new ideas, so don’t be afraid to express yourself! Venus will also enter Pisces, so enjoy the dreamy and ethereal vibes that the end of March will bring you. This month will be the height of your creativity and imagination.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

You are ruled by the sun, Leo, and the sun is coming into Aries this month. This is a time of healing for you, especially in your relationships. While the Mercury retrograde makes communication difficult, now is the time to make the effort to mend past hurts and rebuild burned bridges. Take this time for self-reflection and self-healing as Venus enters Pisces after the supermoon. Use this time of heightened sensitivity to open yourself up to those you have lost touch with. A change will come later in the year, Leo, so take the time to make peace with yourself and others before moving forward.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

The Mercury retrograde will hit you the hardest, Virgo since that is your ruling planet. But since you are ruled by it, you will be the best sign at improvising in the chaos that it brings. You will feel the effects of Uranus as it enters Taurus on March 6, which can make you feel as though change is in the air. Don’t feel nervous, now is the time to take the disruptive energy of Uranus and use it to your advantage. Use this time to tackle a project you wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise or explore a creative idea that you’ve been thinking about. The disruption may frustrate you, but you will be happy with the results.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

The full moon on March 20 is in Libra this year, so you will have a lot of good energy coming your way. Use the power of the full moon to ask yourself hard questions, for now, you will have the strength to face them. Don’t be afraid to examine yourself or share with others who you truly are. Good things will come from your self-reflection. Despite this, you may feel resistance to wanting to do these things. You want balance and harmony right now, Libra because the sun in Aries has brought tension. But there’s no need to worry. Aries is interfering with your power because it is the direct opposite of you. Overcome it and do hard things anyway. You will be happy with the results.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Take advantage of the first cosmic event, Scorpio, and you will be set for the rest of the month. On March 1, Venus will enter Aquarius, an air sign whose influence could do no harm rubbing off on you. Aquarius has a free-thinking attitude and combined with Venus will encourage you to express yourself freely. Make the most of it before things get tense around the supermoon on March 20. You should be able to stay out of the chaos as long as you keep your eyes open for trouble. The Mercury retrograde can turn around and bite your free expression if you’re not careful.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Uranus entering Taurus will certainly affect you, bringing disruptive energy and challenging you in your daily life. You can be rash, Sagittarius, so don’t let this chaotic energy push you into anything hasty. Remember your own limitations and don’t stretch yourself too thin. You’re allowed to say no to things if you’ve already got too much on your plate! Pace yourself this month and you’re in for a wonderful March.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

You should take advantage of the new moon in Pisces on the 6th, especially since it brings rejuvenation in creative pursuits. You can utilize this in your work, but also in your relationships. Someone will want you to open up, Capricorn, and you shouldn’t be afraid to do it. Change is in the air this month, which you may not like, but don’t worry, there are bright horizons awaiting you. Trust your abilities and you will succeed, even if you are worried about the outcome.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

This will be a very prosperous month for you, Aquarius! On March 1, Venus will enter your sign, altering your entire perspective and bringing freshness into your life. Venus rules over desire, pleasure, and comfort and is exalted in your sign. This means that despite the Mercy retrograde, you will be empowered to your express yourself freely and openly. You will feel the freedom and independence that March brings and you may feel more open-minded to ideas you previously rejected.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

You may have a birthday this month, Pisces, so enjoy your month and take advantage of the new moon in your sign that occurs on March 6. This new moon will bring you a chance for spiritual rebirth and a chance to examine yourself for growth. It’s been a hard year for you already, Pisces, but this is your chance to start over and begin anew. Maybe what’s required is a change in perspective or a chance to right your past wrongs. Either way, you’ll feel yourself opening up to new possibilities and will see growth and joy this month.
