With November starting this week, it is officially time to start thinking about your wardrobe. Time to think about those statement pieces you need for those friendsgiving events, family thanksgiving, holiday parties, New Years eve parties, and even just showing up to class in your most comfy, fashionable, warm clothing.

Here are some of the staples you should be grabbing to make sure you have everything you need for all of your favorite events this winter:

Jeans, jeans, jeans

For me, jeans are a year-round staple, but in the winter, they really start to come out. From your classic blue jeans to embroidered jeans, checkered jeans, and jeans of all colors, your outfit can never miss with a pair of jeans and your favorite sweater.

Which brings me to my next favorite winter item:

Sweaters!

Ah yes, sweater weather. Sweaters are a good staple to have for winter, even if you have mild winters. From turtlenecks, cardigan sweaters, pullover sweaters, and many more, there are endless ways to pair them with your favorite pair of pants, or your favorite skirt.

Skirts

Yes, I know it is winter, but skirts are a fashion staple for anytime of year. You can pair your tops with a classic black leather skirt for a staple winter party outfit. If you live somewhere that it is too cold to walk outside with bare legs, invest in some winter leggings, which you can wear underneath and make it look like you have a thin pair of tights on. They’ll never know that they are actually fleece-lined leggings!

Boots

From your classic black booties to heeled, calf-high boots, you can pair these with anything. They are even great for hiding your fuzzy socks you have been dying to wear finally!
