Top 5 Spring Break Trips to Take with Friends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at C of C chapter.

Spring break is upon us, and nothing makes a trip more fun or unforgettable than your friends. These five trip ideas, plus one essential item each, will ensure you and your friends have a blast this spring break!

1. Tropical Cruise

There are lots of affordable cruises for college students on more of a budget (and great group rates!). This all-in-one vacation is perfect for those that want to tan by the pool one moment and explore a new destination the next.

One Essential Item: Sunscreen—this vacation won’t be ruined by sunburn!

2. Road Trip

All you need is a couple of friends, a car, and a road map of destinations. Whether its going cross country, or just across one state, this trip is bound to be tons of fun and the source of many funny stories and new inside jokes!

Essential Item: A cool set of playlists filled with the newest songs (plus some old favorites!).

3. Glamping

This glamourous take on camping can appeal to both nature lovers, and those friends that aren’t really Mother Nature’s biggest fans. Pick somewhere like the beach, or a nearby camping ground, pitch a tent, and make some s’mores!

One Essential Item: Solar charger for phones and computers.

4. Visit a Friend’s Home

By the middle of the semester, almost anyone will be begging for a home cooked meal. Go explore a friend’s hometown (especially if it’s a cool destination), and enjoy having some downtime in a place that feels a bit like home.

One Essential: A friend you’d like to get to know better!

5. Staycation

The only thing better than a vacation, is a staycation! Have a spa day, movie marathon, game night, etc. with your BFFs and spend time together relaxing and enjoying time off from school.

One Essential: A homemade spa kit with nail polish, facial masks, and comfy slippers!

No matter what you do for spring break, have fun!
