Spring Break as told by an RA/DA

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at C of C chapter.

So you’re really excited for spring break.

Until you realize that, over break, the residence halls stay open

So while your friends all talk about their glorious plans

This is how you feel.

By the end of the weekend, the campus looks like this

And, even though the halls are open, the dining halls are closed

But, at least this is an excuse to order pizza and eat at all of your favorite restaurants

Since most of the residents are gone, you don’t even know why you’re here anyway

Cause this is what you look like at the desk

Just kidding! we don’t sleep at the desk!

And there’s that one annoying resident that sticks around

You have the whole room to yourself!

But, you have the whole room to yourself.

With no classes, it’s the perfect time to go to the beach!

But then you realize that it’s not quite spring yet

And in addition to the cold, it’s also rainy.

Even though there aren’t classes, you still have to get up for work.

All of that aside, it is nice to have some time alone after a hard week of midterms

And to watch Netflix and listen to music without headphones

But, you start to miss people being around in general

And you’re sick of not having your friends around to do anything with

So you’re maybe kinda ready for school to start back up again

But then you think about all the Netflix marathons and you think

And it turns out, you enjoyed your spring break more than you thought you would
