Fall is notoriously the season dedicated to indulging in delicious food and desserts. If you have any sort of a sweet tooth, it can be difficult to resist the plethora of amazing goodies made during this time (especially when you’re home visiting family). As college women, we want to keep our figure in tact during the holiday season. With Thanksgiving approaching next month, as well as the various seasonal treats available now, one would think this would be a bit of a struggle. Wrong.

There are SO many alternative, healthy options when it comes to indulging in sweets during the holiday season that are just as tasty as those that are not so healthy. Take the time this fall and whip up a healthy version of your favorite fall dessert. You’ll be thanking yourself later when you can still fit in to your favorite jeans over Christmas break. 1.     Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies

Pumpkin and chocolate are combined in one glorious dessert for this fall recipe. I don’t know how it can get much better than this.

 

2.     Oatmeal Apple Cookies

With only about 30 calories per serving, these scrumptious seasonal cookies won’t last long at a party!

3.     Cranberry Apple Coffee Cake

Cranberry and apple are two amazing flavors found in various desserts during the fall season. This treat has ingredients that make it both low in cholesterol and sodium.

4.     Pumpkin Bread

A healthy alternative to everyone’s guilty pleasure during the fall, this dessert only has 210 calories per serving.

5.     Pumpkin Harvest Bread Pudding

You can never have too many pumpkin flavored sweets. This yummy bread pudding only has about 165 calories per serving and takes 30 minutes to make!
