If you’ve been extremely bored during quarantine and feel like you’ve been wasting time, here are some fun ideas to try!

Start A Small Garden

If you happen to have some seeds lying around your home, plant them! Tending to growing plants will definitely keep you busy. It also will help get you away from computer screens for a while. Plus, plants are great for your house since they help to filter the air.  

Try A New Hobby

With all of your new free time, this is a great chance to learn something new. You could try painting, sewing, drawing, or yoga. This will give you a chance to take your mind off of either schoolwork or other stressful things happening in the world. 

Start A Journal

Starting a journal is a great way to take your mind off of any stress and help you understand your emotions better. It also gives you the chance to record your life during such a world-changing time. And if you don’t have a spare notebook, you can always write it on a laptop as well.

Write A Short Story

If you have ever wanted to write a novel or short story, this is a great time to do it! Especially if you have lots of free time or are by yourself. This will give you plenty of quiet time to focus on writing the story. YouTube is a great resource for learning more about writing stories. There are hundreds of writers of many different skill levels making videos about how to write creative fiction.

Try Cooking A New Food

If you’re bored and are craving a certain food, you can always try to cook it yourself! Try looking up some tutorials or recipes online. Or you could always try a food you’ve never had before or cook something you’ve been dreaming about trying your hand at.
