5 Easy Recipes & Crafts for Easter

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at C of C chapter.

Easter is fast approaching, and if you celebrate the holiday you’re either headed back home to spend the weekend with family, or unable to make it home for whatever reason and spending the day in the company of your roommates at school. Easter is such a fun holiday for recipes and crafts, as well as spending time with loved ones. Whether you’re in the company of your family or with friends, it’s always fun to try new and interesting things for the holidays. Here are 5 super cute Easter recipes and crafts that you can whip up to make this Easter a great one, regardless of where or with whom you may be spending it!

1. Pancake Bunnies

This Easter morning breakfast is so adorable! Simply whip up some pancakes (one large and two medium/small sized) and decorate with whip cream, strawberries, and sprinkles to make it look like a bunny’s behind. A fast and easy Easter morning breakfast that you can make for everyone!

2. Chick Deviled Eggs

These scrumptious and crafty little guys are such a fun way to get creative with your deviled eggs this Easter. Simply make deviled eggs as you normally would, but save the top half of the egg white so that you can put it back on afterwards, making it look like the chicks are peeking out. Use cut up pickle and carrot to create the eyes and the nose.  Enjoy!

3. Bunny Bait

To make this yummy treat, simply pop popcorn into a large bowl, adding broken pretzel pieces and M&Ms. Melt some white chocolate or vanilla candy melts for about 30 seconds, and then stir until it’s melted and smooth. After, drizzle the melted chips over the popcorn mixture. Then, add some colorful sprinkles to finish!

Note: You can also get more elaborate and in depth with this recipe, but I modified it for the purpose of college cooking!

4. Peep Wreath

This cute Easter decoration is perfect for dorm room and apartment decorating, as well as to make as a group project with the whole family. All you need is a wire wreath frame, any sort of wide ribbon or material to add for extra flair, about 3 packages of colorful peeps, and a hot glue gun. Hot glue the Peeps to the wire wreath frame, then add ribbon or string for hanging or decoration.

5. Colorful Easter Centerpiece

How lovely would it be to have this bright and colorful centerpiece on your table as you eat your Easter meal? To create this look, get a square shaped vase as shown in the picture. Then, fill the bottom half of the vase with colorful jellybeans, M&Ms, or whatever candies you’d like! After, place Peeps in to surround the walls of the vase and to create a sturdy base for the flowers. Finally, pick your favorite bright and bold colored flowers (either fake or real) and place them in the midst of the peep and candy foundation. Now you have a fabulous centerpiece!
