12 Reasons to Love CofC

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at C of C chapter.

College of Charleston is a pretty great place to go to school.

Not only do we have a gorgeous campus…

But we are located right behind King Street, which provides endless shopping trips and delicious bites.

We get to experience things other college students don’t due to our stellar location in the middle of the city, like restaurant week! (allowing students to be able to afford the high class cusine Charleston offers)

Did we mention the beach is just ten short minutes away?

Even the harsh Charleston rain can result in something beautiful.

And unlike other college students, we can grab fresh fruits and veggies at the local farmer’s market on Saturdays.

You’ll never be limited to indoor exercising, as the whole city provides killer running routes with spectacular views.

And even if you take a wrong turn, you’ll find something new to discover.

We have some of the best places for students to study and grab coffee- Kudu, Black Tap, Brown’s Court Bakery, and Collective Coffee just to name a few.

Snow days occur when the slightest bit of ice hits the road.

Our dorms have been decorated with work from a renowned artist. Shepard Fairey did this series called “Power and Glory” to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art. Similar works can be seen all over Charleston!

And if all of those aren’t reason enough to love CofC, just take a look at a Lowcountry sunset.
