This Week’s Moods

Rae Stoffel Student Contributor, Butler University
This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Butler chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

Ya know those moods you sometimes fall into that you can’t really explain? Yeah, I’ve been experiencing a lot of those lately so I decided to do us both a favor and name some of ‘em. Please enjoy my late night mind’s wandering.

SUM MOODZ

-The last like 20 seconds of the reprise of Dear Theodosia with Chance the Rapper and Francais and the Lights: a mood

-Harry Styles and Stevie Nicks performing Landslide: a mood

-Finding the perfect song to play as you take off on your first solo abroad adventure: a mood

-You too: a mood

-When you finally get to pee after having to go really bad for like ever: a mood

-The old lady sitting at the table across from me wearing a hot pink power suit and buttering her toast like a god damned queen: a mood

-When you say left but mean right: a mood (also my entire life)

-When you’re going on a weekend trip but bring 17 pairs of underwear just in case you pee yourself four times each day you’re gone, plus a back up: a mood

-Hearing an old song that you aggressively identified with in middle school as an “adult”

-All those drawings of cartoon drake cuddling with food, or dancing, or just bein’ cute or whatever: a mood

-When you realize that little kids no longer see you as a “big kid”, but instead, as a grownup: a mood

I hope you identify with some of these moods for my own sake.

~love, I promise I’m not this #moody all the time
