Things To Do This Thanksgiving Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Butler chapter.

If you’re like me, and enjoy having nothing to do, this article may not be for you. However, if you are like 99% of my friends, and the idea of an empty to-do list gives you FOMO (fear of missing out) and/or crippling anxiety then I have just the thing for you this Thanksgiving Break. So without further ado here’s a list of what’s good for this break!

Sunday

  • Carmel Christkindlmarkt Open in Hamilton County

  • ‘Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure’ at the Eiteljorg Museum

  • Christmas City Walkway of Lights in Marion

Monday

  • “Lights at the Brickyard” Holiday Display at the Indianapolus Motor Speedway

  • Zumba and Wine at Chateau Thomas Winery in Plainfield

Tuesday

  • Festival of Trees at the Indiana History Center

  • ‘Fantasy of Lights’ Holiday Light Show in Fort Wayne

Wednesday

  • Miscellaneous and Antique Auction at Shipshewana Flea Market

  • ‘Snow Days’ at Foellinger – Freimann Botanical Conservatory in Fort Wayne

Thursday

  • Inaugural “Winterlights” Holiday Light Exhibit at Newfields

  • Christmas City Walkway of Lights in Marion

Friday

  • ‘Host of Angels’ Exhibit at Lanthier Winery in Madison

  • Gingerbread Village at Conner Prairie

Saturday

  • Artisan Holiday Market at Beech Grove High School

  • ‘Cars and Coffee’ at Gateway Classic Cars in Indianapolis

  • Jolly Days Winter Wonderland at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

As I was making this list I realized that Indy did the classic ‘skip over Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas’ stunt this year, but if you can get over that, I think these events will be a lot of fun!  If you don’t see anything appealing on this list, there’s a bigger one with even more events right here (x)!
