I frickin love my mom.

So back to mom’s day. It was a frickin blast. From lunch at the sorority house and introducing my OG gal pal to the sisters, my mom and I had a great time. We ate way too much ice cream and gossiped more than we probably should have, all and all 10/10 weekend.

My mom and I look creepily alike so it was fun to see everyone’s reactions to that.

My mom is also one of the only people that will wait five minutes for me to be done petting a dog. I’m not kidding. When we were out shopping, I stopped like 10 times to pet dogs. It was great.

This post is most definitely going to turn into an “I love my mom” rant.

I call my mom everyday, without fail. I’ve literally called her every single day I’ve been at college. Even if it’s just a five minute convo, she’ll tell me what cute things my dog has done that day and I’ll rant about the “cool jock guys” that live across the hall.

She also sends me snaps of my dog and cute decorations for my dorm like all the time. For Valentine’s Day, she sent me a box full of chocolates and a heart wreath, along with literally the cutest card.

She’s my therapist, my personal doctor, my hairstylist, my makeup artist, and my second closet. Above all of that, she’s my best friend.

She’s also the nicest, most caring person I’ve ever met. She’s always doing some sort of volunteer work. She’s always buying cute things for her friends and going above and beyond to make sure they’re having a good day.

Constantly she’s doing things for other people, be it caring for a sick relative or cleaning out her closet to donate more things. She’s always on top of birthdays and never fails to send a card to the most distant of relatives.

She cooks dinner every night, does the laundry, cleans the house, takes care of three kids, a husband, and the most high maintenance dog I’ve ever met and she never asks for everything in return.

She also always manages to look super cute, like ¾ of the clothes she owns, I wear, all the frickin time. She’s maybe the best lady I’ve ever met.

If I turn out half as perf as my momma, I’ll be over the moon.mom. She’s the absolute best.

This past Saturday was Mom’s Day at my sorority and TBH, I think it’s the most fun I’ve ever had with my mom.

Like most little shits, at the age of 12 I was the biggest bitch in the world. I literally remember screaming at my mom while she tried to help me straighten my hair. Basically, I was the #WOAT. Even after all of that, she’s still willing to hang out with me now.

Needless to say, I’ve grown up and my mom has become my best friend.
