Plus sized bodies are about as compatible with coat shopping as oil is to water.  Winter is terrible for a myriad of reasons, but coat shopping truly tops the list. All I want is a cute affordable coat that keeps me warm and cozy, but what do I get? I get ugly ass expensive coats that couldn’t keep the cold out if it killed me… and it just might kill me.  This year I decided to online shop for coats because I am tired of entering the store and finding out that the only coat that will fit me is the puffy marshmallow one in the back.

Honestly, at first, the interwebs didn’t look too promising either, but I ended up finding a few sites that weren’t too bad. I have listed these sites from least to most expensive for your browsing convenience.

1. Forever 21

You might not be warm, but your wallet will be! If you really don’t have the money right now, but you still want something a little bit warmer than your fall cardigan I would look at Forever 21. It doesn’t hurt that their clothes are super cute!

2. Old Navy

Old Navy is the OG of the keep it simple squad. You definitely won’t be making any groundbreaking fashion statements with Old Navy coats, but they look decently warm, and aren’t too expensive at all!

3. Avenue

They is warm looking. They is cute. They is important.  This is a nice medium on both style, warmth, and affordability. That being said, by the time I am paying Avenue prices I would probably just invest another $20 and get something super cute!

4. Modcloth

Modcloth is an investment, but it is a cute af one. Oh boy. I’m probably not going to get something from here for a while, but imma bookmark it for the future.

This is by no means an inclusive list, but it is a good start! Stay warm my friends :)
