Tips and tricks to getting an A in that hard class

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Buffalo chapter.

College can be a challenging time for most students. Pulling good grades is paramount in college as it can dictate job opportunities, internship options, and where you pursue professional programs. As a senior who’s almost ready to graduate, I’ve mastered the tips and tricks needed to get A. Here’s what I’ve learned:

  • Start the semester off strong. Try to keep up with taking and rewriting your notes for class from day 1.

  • Try to make a study guide of your condensed notes as a prep for an exam.

  • Start studying at least a full week in advanced.

  • Give yourself plenty of time to go over each lecture and review your study guide before an exam.

  • Don’t be afraid to seek help from the professor or even other people in the class.

  • Form a study group.

  • Exchange numbers with at least one person in your class just in case you have questions or need clarification on your notes.
