As a current Senior, looking back at the past couple of years I have one thing I regret immensely. Something I wish I did differently as a lower classman was getting more involved on campus. Many of us probably just get caught in the exciting phase of being able to go out and make friends that way, but it’s also great to get involved in clubs that may bring you to people that have so much in common with you, or possibly find a new passion or hobby that you were never aware of to begin with. Such as sports, different cultures, politics, hobbies, etc.
Not only is it positive in that way, but it’s also something that can teach you many useful skills for the future, playing a position on eboard or even volunteering to help out with setting up events, planning events, etc. can teach you valuable life skills such as leadership, communication, and so much more. This is something that also boosts up your resume and shows potential employers that you have experience in a variety of things and that you are involved and giving back.
