Ahhhh Friendsgiving, one of my favorite made up holidays to simply kick back and eat some good grub with mis amigas.

plan & order ahead

Order decorations and materials ahead of time online through Amazon, Walmart, Target, Party City, etc. By ordering ahead, you can find everything you need faster, easier and even cheaper! You can select from various choices of festive banners, photo booth props and more Friendsgiving decor.

have a playlist ready

Music in the background always sets the tone of any event. It’s important to have a nice variety of great tunes that everyone can enjoy. Perhaps you can play some early holiday music or simply whatever you and your friends enjoy!

do a potluck!

To make the workload slightly easier on yourself, you can opt for a potluck by splitting the efforts for food prep. By doing a potluck, you can give more energy and time to decorate and prepare for your guests :) Also be sure to have some to-go boxes in store so everyone can take some leftovers for home.

Entertainment

Having good company around means having a blast no matter what you do. However, it’s always fun to play some good ole party games with some friends. Some great mentions include:

  • Cards Against Humanity
  • Head’s Up
  • Jackbox Games
  • Taboo

Or if you and your pals are feeling more adventurous, do a PowerPoint night. All guests are required to make a funny and/or entertaining PowerPoint to share and present with the rest of the crowd. Some examples include:

  • Reasons My Friends Would Be In Prison
  • Ratings DM’s I’ve Gotten From Men
  • Why My Friends Would Die In A Zombie Apocalypse
  • Which Disney Character Are You?
charcuterie board

A charcuterie board is always appropriate for making anything aesthetic and completely adorable. It adds a fine touch to your food spread and will always have your guests wow-ed and taking pictures for the Gram ;)

Whip up a fall mocktail/cocktail

Fancy ‘lil drinks can always make the night better! A fall-themed beverage is a great addition to the menu. Start by looking for apple cider, pumpkin spice, pomegranate and cranberry-based drinks for inspiration for your creations. There are lots of great ideas on Pinterest, take a look today!

place cards

Make adorable name cards for your guests for a personal touch. Draw them by hand or easily print them out by using online templates. You can direct guests to their seats with the use of fun place cards for an organized and individualized approach.
