With the leaves starting to fall, and the crisp autumn air rolling in, Buffalo is the perfect place to bask in the true beauty of the seasons changing. Full of football games, pumpkins, and optimal temperatures, there are plenty of cool spots to check out this season. Below are 5 spots that I highly recommend checking out soon!

Sunflowers of Sanborn

  • Located at 3311 Saunders Settlement Road in Sanborn, this is a must see nature spot if you love the outdoors. With over 8 acres of sunflower fields, a corn maze, apple cannons, wagon rides, and carnival games, there is something for everyone. They will be open 7 days a week this year, with special events on the weekends. The best part? Admission is free!

Mayer Brothers Cider Mill Store

  • If you love fall-flavored food and drinks, you must try fresh-pressed apple cider from the Mayer Bros Cider Mill. Additionally, the mill makes fresh donuts in-house, with a wide variety of flavors. Some of their other treats include apple cider slushies, candy apples, and unique local products like jams, syrups, and cheeses. They are located at 1540 Seneca Street in West Seneca. This is a great place to support local!

The Great Pumpkin Farm

  • The Great Pumpkin Farm is a fall, festive staple for the Buffalo community. It includes activities like hayrides, carnival food and games, and of course pumpkin-picking. There are several iconic photo opportunities, and they have fresh donuts and cider too!

Letchworth State Park

  • If you love hiking, spending a day at Letchworth State Park will be perfect for you. The park is scattered with 28 different trails that vary in difficulty from easy, moderate, and hard, so there’s something for everyone! The views are breathtaking, and feature the most beautiful and vibrant autumn hues. This is a must-see hike in Western New York all-year-round, but especially during the Fall.

Buffalo Bills Game

  • At the Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY, nothing screams Western New York than a Bills game. September and October are ideal months to tailgate at and attend a game, before it gets too frigid. Though on the pricier side for a fall game, the memories made at the games are beyond worth it! Go Bills!
