Valentine’s Day is a fun-filled, loving and happy holiday. Whether you have a significant other or not, I think it’s important to show your girlfriends how much you love them on this special day. Galentine’s Day was informally created in 2010 and has since made cupid season way more inclusive. It has allowed us to spend the month celebrating friendship with the essential people in our lives.

Flowers

These are always a hit and can be found at most local grocery stores and nurseries. I think you really can’t go wrong with getting even a single rose for someone. Flowers are associated with beauty and aesthetics, which helps to show your affection for someone.

Pro-tip: put the flowers in a brown paper bag, tied with ribbon or twine to complete the look.

Freshly Baked Treats

This is a budget-friendly option that anyone would enjoy. Even if you’re not a baker, picking up the pre-made cookies and packaging them nicely does the trick. It’s the thought that counts, and taking the time to box a treat makes all the difference.

Pro-tip: you can find Valentine’s Day-themed tin boxes at most stores, and they are the perfect size for goodies like this.

Friendship Jewelry

If you and your friend(s) love wearing rings or necklaces, it is a good idea to get a piece that matches all of your aesthetics. This can be an extremely sentimental way to show someone how much they mean to you. A plus is that you’ll have this for the rest of your lives.

Pro-tip: a ring can be a discrete piece of jewelry with immense emotional value.

DIY Card

Pinterest has tons of homemade cards for Valentine’s Day. These can span from pop-ups to cards with 3D effects. Anything with the colors pink, red, purple or white would fit the generic theme.

Pro-tip: cute and unique cards can also be purchased at card and craft stores.

An Experience

Experiences are memories that we hold onto forever. A planned spa day is a great way to treat your friend(s) and can be done at home or at an actual spa. Another good option is a relaxing paint-and-sip night. Even a trip to laser tag or a trampoline park can lead to amazing bonding moments.

Pro-tip: many experiences can be created right at home. Again, it’s all about the thought that counts and the memories you make together.
