Weight problems? Sabby to the Rescue!!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Buff State chapter.

I have gained a considerable amount of weight over the past two months due to the fact me and my boyfriend broke up.  I don’t feel comfortable in my body now since I don’t feel as pretty as I did before and I want to get back into the dating world.  My eating habits are usually fast food orientated and chugging soda so I need some advice on going about getting my awesome figure back.  Help!

You have already made a great first step acknowledging that you do want to get healthy and lose your excess weight.  First off, don’t fall into any diet that promises quick results in a matter of weeks, you’ll end up gaining back any weight you lost plus more.  I suggest you try light workouts like walking for 20 to 30 minutes every day on a treadmill to raise your heart rate or some crunches while watching t.v.  Next, cut out the soda and fast food IMMEDIATELY!  That stuff will end up hurting your body worse than you know so it is best to cut it out before adding any more unwanted weight.  Try adding vegetables to every meal that you have; broccoli, carrots, peas, are all awesome and fantastic for your body.  But if you’re not a veggie lover like me add em’ in with some brown rice and light seasoning such as pepper or a fruit smoothie, both will taste great and make you look great.  Lastly, self-confidence is key to your weight loss plan!  Remember that you are doing this for yourself and doing it the healthy way!

Good luck!
