HC- What things have you done or organizations are youy a part of on campus and what have you learned from them?
Giancarlo- Active member of Adelante Estudiantes Latinos, EOP Student Assistant, Orientation Leader, Resident Assistant, Secretary of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity Inc., President of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity Inc.. I’ve learned that college is more than just an education; it’s getting the full college experience and being involved in a number of things while being educated.

HC- Why did you come to buff state?

Giancarlo- I came to Buff State because back at home (The Bronx) I didn’t exactly have the best surroundings and I wanted to get away so I can better myself and gain some independence.

HC- What are the best and worst experiences you’ve had while attending buff state?
Â
Giancarlo- Best: Being an OL and RA and helping freshmen have a smooth transition into college.
Worst: First semester freshman year I was involved in an incident off campus where my friends and I were jumped and robbed.

HC- How would you describe your experience here at buff state?
Giancarlo- Simply Amazing!

HC- What do you hope to do when you graduate?
Giancarlo- Start teaching in the high school I attended and get my Masters.

HC- What’s your biggest motivation to continue on as a student here at buff state?

Giancarlo- I will be the first one in my family to earn a college degree

HC- What advice do you have for girls at buff state?
Giancarlo- Be smart. Actually think before you make any decisions. Guys are guys, so be very careful when your heart is on the line. Worry about your family and education first; everything else is secondary. And most importantly, enjoy life and think positive. In simplest terms, “LIVE!”
