David Morales: A Man of Many Roles

David’s Quote to live by: “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13

        David Morales, or as his friends all around Buffalo State calls him “Daveed!” (exclamation point included),  is well known around campus for his charisma as well as his approachable, bright personality. While he majors in Media Production and carries a minor in Criminal Justice, David also participates in a number of campus organizations. He is the building manager for Campbell Student Union, where he keeps the student union in order from morning to night. David also is the videographer of the Athletics Department where he records all of the sporting events on campus down from our football team (Go Bengals!) to our intramural sports. He is also Buffalo State’s “go-to” man for any other event that is in need of recording like Graduation! David was an Orientation Leader where he helped integrate the Class of 2015 by guiding them to be true Buffalo State students. David said in his most uplifting voice “I’m so excited to be an orientation leader! It’s going to be great!”

 
   David is the President of the Buffalo State National Communication Honor Society. While being an important task, David doesn’t break a sweat when going to bi-weekly meetings with the department chair and representing the Communication department as the voice of reason. Keeping with the theme of the communication department, David is the Vice President of the Buffalo State College Television Station and is the Associate Director for Video Marketing & Communications for the SUNY Student Assembly Executive Cabinet. David is also a valued Tenor in SPiRiT Gospel Choir, with his voice hitting deep rich notes while trying to keep a straight face. Which is hard because he is always cracking jokes in between sets! He is also a member of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship club on campus.
 
         As you can clearly see, David is an all around guy that is a shining star to look out for. If you need help with anything or you just want to ask him a question, you can always go up to the information desk at Campbell Student union and find him. You’ll recognize him as the friendly faced guy, sitting with the dark rimmed glasses with his trusty pen poised behind his ear. He will definitely be there during the “graveyard shift”.  We here at HCSUNY Buff State wonder when he gets time to sleep!. In May 2012, David will graduate, getting his degree and hopefully a nap!
