When Saturday morning rolls around, it can be quite chaotic getting ready for a typical Bucknell Super. Everyone is so put together and it can seem like a lot of pressure to look your best. Here’s how to make an effortless Super look without spending all of your allowance or time getting ready.

1. Let’s talk about hair.

Whether you spend hours making sure every strand of hair is in place or you’ve just rolled out of bed, there is a solution for you. If you’re getting bored of your typical hairstyle, add a trendy scrunchie with a bow. If you don’t have one, you can use a piece of ribbon or bandana just as easily. Pull the front pieces of your hair back and tie them together with the accessory of choice. It’s a super easy way to change up your hairstyle while spending under $5.

For the girl who is having a bad hair day, a beanie is a simple fall essential for hiding your flyaways. If you’re looking for a simple touch, add a solid color beanie to amp up your look. If you’re looking for more fun, add color, a print, or even a beanie with a pom pom on top.

2. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend

If you are wearing a basic white or black top, layering gold necklaces can really tie an outfit together. Start with a choker then layer with a necklace that matches with your shirts neckline. It can look simple, yet is essential to dressing up a basic outfit.

Earrings should depend on your hairstyle. If your hair is down, and your ears won’t be seen often, choose a simple earring such as a stud or mini hoop. If your hair is up try a bolder earring such as a larger hoop, tassel, or anything colorful.

3. Girls just wanna have sun

Sunglasses are essential; functional yet draws attention to your face. To dress up your outfit, use colored lenses or frames to accent your outfit. If your not feeling color, try shaped lenses such as hearts, stars, or triangles.

4. Belts, belts, belts!

If you love a good pair of jeans, adding a belt can be an easy way to add color to an outfit. Animal print, holographic, chain, or even a solid colored belt can really add a lot to a look.

5. Add a statement piece

For pants and jackets, look for bright bold prints and colors. Printed pants can be paired with your favorite basic black or white tank top. If you love wearing black, try adding a pop of color with a jacket.

These accessories, by adding a pop of color, will make sure your super look is noticed. It’s important to realize you don’t have to spend fortunes making an outfit look put together. Try thrift store, apps like Depop or Poshmark, or even borrowing from your friends.
