Do It While We Still Can: Freshman Bucket List

Blair Francke (’16)

Freshmen, as scary as it seems, we have officially completed our first semester here at Bucknell and only have seven more to go. Before we are released into the real world, there are a few things we should cross off our bucket lists that we can still get away with while we’re in college.

1.     Get invited to a date party or formal

2.     Join a sorority

3.     Go to a bar in town

4.     Participate in a flash mob on the quad

5.     Go to the Lewisburg Penitentiary

6.     Go to the Bounce Funplex

7.     Live downtown

8.     Take a picture “riding” the Bison statue

9.     Go on an actual date

10.  Study abroad

11.  Jump in the creek off of 6th Street

12.  Attend an event at Uptown

13.  Go on a road trip with your friends

14.  Christmas carol and trick-or-treat around Lewisburg

15.  Control the music at a party

16.  Visit the odd sounding (yet ever so curious) Reptiland

17.  Do a keg stand

18.  Go to every frat in one night

19.  Make out with someone in the library

20.  Streak across the quad

Senior Year Bucket List

Hillary Mann (’13)

As our second to last semester of college quickly comes to a close, the ladies of the senior class report what they want to cross off their Bucknell Bucket Lists (in no particular order) before their time at Bucknell is up!

1.     Tube down the Susquehanna River on a beautiful spring day

2.     Spend an entire day relaxing on the Quad with friends

3.     Go out for seven consecutive nights

4.     Have a picnic with friends on the dock behind the library

5.     Complete the “Frat Challenge” by making out with at least one guy from every fraternity

6.     Complete the “Second Frat Challenge” by eating from every fraternity kitchen at least once

7.     Go to the drive-in movie theater on Route 15

8.     Eat copious amounts from the Caf while still only paying the standard entrance swipe fee

9.     Go to every traditional Bucknell event, such as the Christmas Candlelight Service, the Night Before Finals and Chrysalis

10.  Have sex somewhere in the library or in an academic building

11.  Bike the entire Rail Trail

12.  Make out with someone from every sports team

13.  Wear your pajamas or sweatpants to the bar

14.  Get an official House Party mug and carry it around (read as “flaunt it” to those under 21) all House Party Weekend long

15.  Have an amazing Senior Week with great friends to wrap up four amazing years at Bucknell

16.  Sled down the Freas Hall hill

17.  Participate in Color Games one more time to show that we’ve come full circle

18.  Have a drink with a professor

19.  Attend every weekly downtown bar event at least once (Trivia Night at Bull Run, LIT Night at Temperance House and Karaoke Night at Town Tavern)

20.  Successfully complete the corn maze at Ard’s Farm

21.  Go streaking in the Grove

22.  Make out with a freshmen (total cougar status)

23.  Go on a sober date

24.  Figure out what the hell we’re doing next year once we leave the security and familiarity of Bucknell, the place we’ve called home for the past four years

Sarah Dubow graduated from school in 2013 and is a Digital Strategist at Marina Maher Communications in New York City. After serving as Campus Correspondent at Bucknell University, she is so excited to continue being a part of the Her Campus team! Besides traversing the city and trying to figure out what being a "real person" really means, Sarah loves long walks on the beach, sipping pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain (kidding!). Real favorites include traveling, writing, kickboxing, and making up ridiculous lyrics to the latest songs. She absolutely loves anything that involves cupcakes, butterflies, glitter, and anything Parisian and specializes in baking with far too much chocolate and obsessively watching shows bound to be cancelled after the first season. Though the long term path for this post-grad collegiette remains unclear, she's looking forward to all the new 20-something adventures that await her!
