Having a meal plan in college is both a blessing and a curse. You have an unlimited amount of food at your disposal but no self-control – the freshman fifteen is very real. Not all dining halls are created equal, and with that said, there is no doubt that Marciano is the best BU dining hall on campus – here’s why.
1. The aesthetic

With two floors of modern architecture, great lighting, and a grand staircase, you definitely won’t find Warren or West’s dining halls nearly as aesthetically pleasing. The white and silver color scheme gives a modern appeal and more of a restaurant feel than just an average dining hall. Each dining station even has their own aesthetic appeal; the pizza station’s grand oven, the burger station’s old-time diner appeal, and the salad bar with its various rows of veggies. Eating here is so much more than just food.
2. So many options

When visiting other college dining halls, I’ve mainly been limited to the pizza, deli, burger, and salad stations. This has never been the case at Marciano; often, I’m overwhelmed by the many options and end up getting a little bit of everything. At Marciano, you have all the basic options and then some. They also have vegan and gluten-free options. Trust me, there’s something for everyone.
3. You could literally stay there all day

There’s a bathroom on the second floor so you could technically stay there all day — just make sure to pack your bag with earphones, a phone, and laptop charger. While this is great idea because you only have to swipe in once, it’s pretty dangerous as it’s hard to resist the unlimited amount of food, so just be wary.
